ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ARTIST: Jona Van Zyle is a writer, painter, jewelry-maker and curator who lives in Eagle River, Alaska, with her husband, artist Jon Van Zyle. Jon, a two-time finisher of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, is a member of the Iditarod Hall of Fame. Jon has created hundreds of paintings depicting the landscapes, wildlife, and people of his adopted Alaska; and illustrated numerous books.
