The Alaska Experience - Told in CartoonsToe was a political cartoonist
living and working in Alaska’s
capital city when a little-known,
small-town mayor named Sarah
Palin began a run for statewide
office. The satirical cartoons that would follow over the next several years would garner national attention and
become a reader favorite.
Here, along with those original
cartoons, are many previously
unpublished drawings, and reflections on how Alaskans reacted to Sarah Palin’s—and their own newfound celebrity.
"This book, containing far more insight than one might expect from a brief work heavily dependent on cartoons, is one of the few genuinely honest works on Palin currently available."
---David James, Fairbanks (Alaska) Daily News Miner"Toe has a gift for capturing mood and emotion in his political cartoons. This collection tracks Sarah Palin's political path and Juneau's uneasy dance with her from a local, personal perspective. His text offers a candid, conversational and remarkably astute romp through Alaska's recent history."
--- Rebecca Braun, Publisher/Editor, Alaska Budget Report
