Biographies and Memoirs

This area is full of "good reads" and it's difficult to single one out. Three favorites among Alaskans are Raising Ourselves by Velma Wallis, winner of a 2003 American Book Award; Sisters, by Samme & Aileen Gallaher, an amazing word-of-mouth bestseller in the Copper River Valley; and On the Edge of Nowhere, by James Huntington, as told to Lawrence Elliott.
