Jon Van Zyle is an internationally known wildlife artist enormously popular in Alaska, where he is best known for his original paintings, limited-edition prints, and posters depicting scenes from the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

Jon paints what he knows. He has run the Iditarod twice. He regularly mushes dogs with his wife, Jona, from their combination home-studio-kennel in Eagle River. The mushing couple has released a beautiful new gift book, Jon Van Zyle's Iditarod Memories: 25 Years of Poster Art from the Last Great Race. His previous book was the best-selling art book, Jon Van Zyle's Alaska Sketchbook.
